Women’s Self-Defense – SEPT 30th

Kowkabany’s Family Martial Arts (KFMA) will be offering a FREE Women’s Self-Defense Seminar on Saturday, September 30th, 2017, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.  This seminar is a community event, and is open to girls/women of high school age and up. As there is a limit as to how many we can teach in any one clinic, if you would like to reserve your space, please call us at 813-891-0624.

This self-defense course will be taught by Laura Kowkabany, an 8th Degree Black Belt and Chief Master Instructor, and by David Kowkabany, a 7th Degree Black Belt and Senior Master Instructor. The Kowkabanys have been teaching a wide range of self-defense courses (children, teens, adults, firearms-based, college-bound readiness, etc.) for over 20 years in the northwest Tampa Bay area. You do not have to be in great physical shape to learn how to protect yourself, and no previous experience is required to take this course. This is an excellent opportunity to train with a family member, a friend or a co-worker, and you will leave feeling more confident and empowered.

This training session will be a mixture of physical techniques (striking targets, working with partners, and training in groups), specific self-defense drills (based on techniques developed by the Warrior Krav Maga system), and explanations of how to implement preventive measures at home, during travel and while in public spaces.

Due to the nature of this course, all attendees will be asked to complete a simple waiver (minors will need to have this completed by a parent or guardian). Attire should be clothing comfortable for a light workout.

The seminar will be held at KFMA’s location at 13910 Monroes Business Park in Tampa, conveniently located between the Westchase – Odessa area and Oldsmar – Safety Harbor. We are just two buildings down from the Tampa Bay Brewing Company off Racetrack Road.

For those interested, we can even arrange to teach this course (or a similar one) to a select group of attendees (team of co-workers, teen sports team, Scout troop, mission team) tailored specifically to their age and needs.

For more information or to confirm your space for our September 30th seminar, you can contact us via our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/KFMATampa/  or call us directly at 813-891-0624.
