KFMA Excels at College Prep!
Yale! Princeton! MIT!
These are just a few of the schools that have accepted graduating students from Kowkabany’s Family Martial Arts over the past few years! USC! Mercer! Penn State! Rice! West Point… and the list really could go on!
So what helps a KFMA Black Belt to stand out from the crowd of students applying for admissions to these top universities? In truth, it’s a combination of factors, with many of those attributable to the life skills and confidence developed while training in our martial arts system.
Our life skills are traditional components that allow for success in all areas of life – in school, in the workplace, and in the community. In addition to teaching integrity, self-discipline, perseverance, respect and self-control, KFMA also helps each individual to discover their God-given gifts and talents. As our students progress through the ranks, they learn how to develop these gifts to their full potential.
Starting at an early age, our students bring in their report cards to be reviewed by their instructors. While not every student will make straight ‘As’, it is important that they learn to work to their full potential.
As our students progress through the ranks, they are not only improving their fitness and strength levels, they are also growing stronger mentally and developing confidence through learning self-defense and by achieving their goals. This confidence comes into play when students interview for admissions and scholarships, as well as when they apply for work.
“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” Albert Einstein
Rest assured, no one achieves their Black Belt at KFMA without developing a solid work ethic and the ability to take correction; and these two skills are vital to success in advanced education as well as in the professional fields.
There is a reason that we say KFMA is “Training You for Life.” The skills that you will acquire in our academy will help lead to success in all areas of your life – home, school, work and in your community. And once these skills are truly earned, they can always be used!
“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela
